25 Tales – The Story of Eton House…
An interesting family blog title. Why would this be relevant to us you may ask? Well, this is the title of a book commissioned by the founder of Eton House, Ms Ng, to celebrate 25 years of Ollie’s first school in Singapore, Eton House. A very sad start for us at the school as this was where he was schooling when we lost our Nina. Within the book is a very touching section on us, the Kennett family in Singapore dealing with that loss and recognising the amazing support from the school and the staff and the parents – people that have become like family today no matter where they have ended up on this planet – you know who you all are.
It’s a beautiful book.
It blew Ollie and me away today to receive this in the post – including the lovely covering letter from ms Ng.
It’s a mixed memory day today upon reading this – and we feel it is important to share it.
We hope you like it to, as much as we do.
We’ll never forget our Nina, Ollie and Amy’s Mum and my Wife. She was a very special lady to all that met her.
I wrote this in February 2008 and it still rings as true today, as it did then;
“She calls our name and we come running, We have lost the voice we listened to, And there’s a stillness now the rains stopped falling, And there’s a sadness like we never knew, But we still see the shining of things.” We love and miss you desperately Ni.
25 Tales – The Story of Eton House… 12 years on look at how wonderful the kids are doing, added to by the funniest little ‘stinky’ brother and the most amazing woman in our life called Marysol, AKA Wifey. You’d be proud Ni.
