50th Birthday, Cebu The Philippines; Day #7
OK today was a kids day. Off we go to JPark Hotel, Cebu for 50th Birthday, Cebu The Philippines; Day #7. What a cracking day this was too. So far you can truly say every day has been pretty different, but all so such good fun, and for varying reasons. Two separate convoys today, with the Brady Bunch going in one and Kenno + Eddo in another. JPark is a very cool Korean Hotel that we have stayed at before, like three times if I remember. The beauty of it is that it has a huge water park, with lazy rivers, wave machines, slides etc. It’s cool.
Slightest moans in that we have clearly hit a refurb time, so the kids area is shut, the cabanas are all shut, wave machine I think was broken, and you could not get a towel for love nor money. But on a positive they do give kids free, and 20% on F&B, free buffet lunch and free flow Philippines water (San Miguel), so all in all it was bloody brilliant. Kids had an absolute ball, as I think the adults did too – thanks JPark, Cebu for a splendid 50th Birthday, Cebu The Philippines; Day #7. I also hear there will be a 2x the size of this one on Panglao soon – 1,000 beds. Glad I bought the house ha ha!!!
For dinner we met up with the rest of the gang, at a place that Mary and I visited with her cousin. Brilliant local joint, truly spectacular food for great prices. Oh yeah and Jeepney adventures too for all. What fun and excitement.

And we are off to JPark Hotel – weeeeeeee!!!!

My gang having a little refreshment before we embark on fun fun fun!!!

My Mary decides that rather than going on the lazy river, she really would rather do yoga with a tree…

A beauty of Father and Daughter – our mates Eddo and Taylah

Full gang, sadly minus Ollie. Now that is NICE. All growing up so so fast though – wow!!!

BFF’s…
Crazy girls now doing a ‘Boomerang’ – quite funny actually!

My Baby Jude really struggling to relax this holiday it seems. Dear me poor Baby Jude. He He!!! NOT!!!

The free (well inclusive) brunch at JPark Hotel is INSANE. I have never quite seen anything like it. Check the video link as in there is a number of things of swimming, jeepney and the brunch – it took a whole 2 minutes to walk and video all the food stations. AMAZING JPARK!!!

Also not quite sure if my Mary is happy with her first plate of food for lunch??? Hmmmm what you think. Actually I think I do know, and she didn’t even have to get out of her seat ha ha!!!

Good shout from Ruthers to have a big family shot by the JPark Hotel sign, like it a lot!

And now Ruthers has a great idea to have everyone pull their funniest faces. Clearly Eddo thinks his best side is his backside. Ha Ha!!!

Here comes Stacey and Ruthers, and the boys – Brady Bunch Whacky Races, catch that pigeon guys…

Here comes Amy-Boo, with me not far behind with Jude – we’re catching up Amy.

Man this is hard work. Sod champagne for being first, just give me an icy cold Pilsen – and no I am not spraying it everywhere. It’s all MINE!!!

Taylah was so funny – I kept seeing her go the wrong way. Too funny!

Here comes our Jhea. Could not get her off this – either she was enjoying it so much, or someone had super-glued her feet to the pedals…

And Jude crosses the finishing line in 1st place and he is very very happy and so is Daddy cost that means Pilsen time, ha ha!!! It was bloody funny actually, huge puddles round the back that you had to drive through – super funny!!!

My King with another King!

Pawn Stars??? (Think about it…)

Our Jhea, AKA Lewis Hamilton, giving it her best shot and clearly enjoying too…

Amy Kennett, again flicking the V’s at the crowd. Reminds me of Robbie Williams opening at the World Cup. It’s like finger tourettes…

Well he is my Knight in shining armour… and with his cough, he is a little hoarse

It’s slide time for Amy…

And splosh on slide number two!!! Saves us washing her costume tonight!!!

And then taking his life, and his beard in his hands, the 50 year old goes for a flame dance. It was so close to your face – but on a positive I have had the long eyebrows and extra nasal hair now removed. Every cloud has a …

It’s getting hot in here… He seems to be enjoying himself though, what’s he having a look at…

BEST jeepney ever for Jude. His absolute favourite – BEN 10 – OMG, who’d have thought it. Crazy. Have to admit it is an absolute stonker!!!

Crazy good jeepney! Just love it!!!

Maribago Grill, Cebu is one of the very best restaurants. Superb quality food at just amazing $$$ prices. This I reckon is an absolute you MUST try if you happen to be in Mactan area. It’s insane good! We had such a wonderful meal our JPark day, and we’re going back tonight again! Yep it is that good!!!

Our sleeping beauties…

Tonight I had a sisig moment from heaven – one of the very best I have ever had was at this restaurant.

Now that is a nice photo of the gang – re-group all together from two separate days of fun – kids and adults days…

Painey’s most amazing Pork Sinigang – again this restaurant threw out one of the best soups ever consumed by these lips. This was a cracker.

Have to get the water-proof camera out – makes all the difference. Apart from the sun-screen in my eyes!!!

Is that really appropriate JPark???

Uncle Steve – loving this!!! Says Baby Jude!!!

Good work Jimboy on the stacking – just please don’t end up doing that as a job!

Wifey selfie… Hmmm some long nasal hairs, and occasional long eyebrow there Kenno – watch on to see how I rectified that later…

Amy always has to go one better!!! I think it’s a Dunking Donuts thing!

My very own selfie – ordered a pint of Flowers and got this!!!

My beautiful Sacred Riana’s – OMG not sleeping tonight, scary as!!!

And the shoulder carry on a rubber ring championship goes to….

Mother and son – beauty! Clearly Jimmers is thirsty though, damn should have got another coke float!

Jhea lapping it up with Mum too. So so great to have the guys with us for a few days – what a birthday!

And to the most bizarre, which I shall continue below… Ladies stop swiping right!!!
No BS. I swam round a corner and there was Eddo floating. I looked up and there was… WTF; Chef Edward from My Little Spanish Place, was staring at me. Now this is nuts. Because the last time I really saw him was when Eddo and Vikki was in Singapore in October and we had an amazing meal at Boat Quay. So Vikki spotted him and was speaking to Eddo saying she thinks she just spotted Edward – no way. Apparently Edward had thought the same re her. Then he saw the Boomerang of the girls and hey presto. Just insane that this happened 50th Birthday, Cebu The Philippines; Day #7.
So there you have it family and friends 50th Birthday, Cebu The Philippines; Day #7. OK OK we split the gang as it was a bit more family with kids one way, and others the other way. But with a re-group with the wider gang later in the evening for a fantastic dinner. Such a wonderful day, it really was. We had a brilliant time. Cannot thank you enough JPark Hotel, and Maribago Grill – amazing fun for our day today. Please have a look if you get here. These are two places you are pretty much guaranteed, as we were to – ENJOY!!!
