50th Birthday, Cebu The Philippines; Day #7
OK today was a kids day. Off we go to JPark Hotel, Cebu for 50th Birthday, Cebu The Philippines; Day #7. What a cracking day this was too. So far you can truly say every day has been pretty different, but all so such good fun, and for varying reasons. Two separate convoys today, with the Brady Bunch going in one and Kenno + Eddo in another. JPark is a very cool Korean Hotel that we have stayed at before, like three times if I remember. The beauty of it is that it has a huge water park, with lazy rivers, wave machines, slides etc. It’s cool.
Slightest moans in that we have clearly hit a refurb time, so the kids area is shut, the cabanas are all shut, wave machine I think was broken, and you could not get a towel for love nor money. But on a positive they do give kids free, and 20% on F&B, free buffet lunch and free flow Philippines water (San Miguel), so all in all it was bloody brilliant. Kids had an absolute ball, as I think the adults did too – thanks JPark, Cebu for a splendid 50th Birthday, Cebu The Philippines; Day #7. I also hear there will be a 2x the size of this one on Panglao soon – 1,000 beds. Glad I bought the house ha ha!!!
For dinner we met up with the rest of the gang, at a place that Mary and I visited with her cousin. Brilliant local joint, truly spectacular food for great prices. Oh yeah and Jeepney adventures too for all. What fun and excitement.
Crazy girls now doing a ‘Boomerang’ – quite funny actually!
No BS. I swam round a corner and there was Eddo floating. I looked up and there was… WTF; Chef Edward from My Little Spanish Place, was staring at me. Now this is nuts. Because the last time I really saw him was when Eddo and Vikki was in Singapore in October and we had an amazing meal at Boat Quay. So Vikki spotted him and was speaking to Eddo saying she thinks she just spotted Edward – no way. Apparently Edward had thought the same re her. Then he saw the Boomerang of the girls and hey presto. Just insane that this happened 50th Birthday, Cebu The Philippines; Day #7.
So there you have it family and friends 50th Birthday, Cebu The Philippines; Day #7. OK OK we split the gang as it was a bit more family with kids one way, and others the other way. But with a re-group with the wider gang later in the evening for a fantastic dinner. Such a wonderful day, it really was. We had a brilliant time. Cannot thank you enough JPark Hotel, and Maribago Grill – amazing fun for our day today. Please have a look if you get here. These are two places you are pretty much guaranteed, as we were to – ENJOY!!!
