Universal Studios Nov’20 – due to technical difficulties Part #1
When I say technical difficulties, this time I mean for Universal Studios themselves. Wow, what. cock-up experience it was from them today. It was training, but so what is that really an excuse? Everything was broken, like everything. Also what happened with everything closing was the queues on those that were working were MASSIVE, like crazily massive. So with no shows due to Covid and like 1/5 of the rides open the queues were just untenable – you could argue perhaps this was being done on purpose to encourage people to spend on Express Pass and get double $$$ from those in he park this day – not a bad conspiracy theory…
We were allowed in early as we’re PR so midday ish we were in and eating lunch at the NY Pizza joint, Loui’s, which is pretty good.
We went to go on Transformers – closed due to technical issues;
Accelerator – open and working;
Both Battlestar Gallactica rides +60 minutes wait;
The Mummy – open and working but the announced 5 minutes wait became 40 minutes actual;
Jurassic Park Rapids – closed due to technical issues;
Queue for Canopy Flier – 30 minutes queueing and – closed for technical issues;
Dino-Soarin’ – open and working – Mum and Dad went and sat for a beer and left the kids to it;
Their MobileApp was constantly wrong with what was an wasn’t open and wrong waiting times;
Ollie went to explore Never Never Land – all closed due to technical issues;
Back to Battlestar Gallactica – open and working and we let Ollie and Amy get their fill;
90 minutes queue at Transformers so off we go to try again Madagascar and all that – closed or +60 minuye waits on all;
We gave up and decided to queue for Transformers so walked back – closed due to technical issues…
It went on and on like this for the whole afternoon – sadly we did indeed give up and went home early back to Siglap. So Universal, you lost us for dinner and other consumables during our stay. You technical issues wore us down. But we thank you for realising this and issuing us a replacement set of tickets due to my complaint I issued – that is indeed one-step to enhancing customer satisfaction from this day’s experiences. Thank you!!!
