Bird Park visit May 2018
I think Jude wants to dive in with his new buddies…
We arrived at lunch, a quick feed first, in to the penguins and then BOOM – the heavens opened. Dear me. What to do? We got the tram ticket and got to the Lory and Lorikeet aviary – let’s sit in there for a bit until the rain passes. Wow it was one hell of a storm. But it did indeed stop and we then had a fantastic family day together. This is Bird Park visit May 2018.
I don’t remember penguins being this big when I was at school. There’s now way this one would fit in my sandwich box.

Beautiful flamingos. Now did you know hoe they get their pink colour? It’s from the shrimps they eat as a stable diet. If they stop eating the shrimps they lose the pink. Did not know that!

BeBe’s first ever time to the Bid Park. Despite the rain. I think se had a great day, as we all did.

These were stunning yellow birds, that were actually weaving their nests. Amazing too watch!
Can you see its tail sticking out of its nest as it weaves away. Seriously impressive.

This was amazing – baby peacocks with their Mum. You truly do not see that every day.
They really took a shine to Jude Jude – they kept following him wherever he went.
