Jude’s first swimming lesson – so proud
A great day today. I decided to take a lastminute.com fay off to make it a double long weekend with Hari Raya on Friday. Plus it meant I could watch Jude’s first swimming lesson – so proud. A bit scared to start with a new face, but in 5 minutes he was being pretty attentive, was holding his head under the water for 5+ seconds, whilst practicing his new swimming strokes. Bless him.
Instructor was a tad ‘strange’ to start. Demanding changing rooms, showers and all that because the water makes his skin itchy. Er mental note to yourself mate, perhaps you chose the wrong job if you are allergic to water??? Then in he comes in this metro-sexual mini-bikini brief things. Bloody hell mate no wonder you wanted to change in private, probably so you didn’t want us to see you in your bra, stockings and suspenders before you change to your mini-briefs.
Once in the water all was good and the wee man Jude Jude was excellent. He really was. He listened to pretty much every word, from what I could see. Learning a new kick. Learning to do that kick with his head under the water, then up to the sky. And he was floating on his own doing it after only a few minutes seriously was Jude’s first swimming lesson – so proud.

He is with about 4 spectators – yes; Mum, Dad, Amy and BeBe. He was not phased , he was just super concentrating on the job at hand. Awesome!

And like a stealthy crocodile he floats and lies in wait on un-expecting prey – which includes swimming instructors in rather tight swim trunks – watch yourself mate.
