A rather lovely family day before I scoot to the UK
A beautiful sunny Sunday, and my last day for 7 in a row away with work. So we decided to make it a massively fun day. 1st on the agenda was to feed the monkies so off we trot to Satay By The Bay for some rather yummy chow. Then a wee skip to the kid’s water park and playground to let them go crazy for a bit. Then a lovely walk down the gardens and over the barrage. Finished with a rather delicious dinner at one of our favourites, Kontiki. Yes, indeed it was A rather lovely family day before I scoot to the UK. Let’s have a look, shall we?
This really is such a lovely afternoon itinerary. I recommend this to all parents. You eat, have fun, get exercise, eat. I like.
Best chicken wings on the planet I reckon. Zinged up with some fresh lemon juice. I challenge you to find better. Stellar!
Wifey clearly very happy with this decision. Jude, however, seems indulged in other matters! FX trading, or managing his AirBnB estate I think.
Amazing little place and it’s all FREE. It’s also got some cool tech in it that monitors the kids’ movements and changes the fountain displays accordingly. Yeah, that is clever. Off goes Jude for an explore.

Water park, climbing park. And reverse and repeat. Backwards and forwards they went today. Absolutely superb fun for them whilst Mum and Dad sat and chatted. Yep, I like that.
A very brave Jude today that climbed all the way to the top for the first time. Way to go matey.
Yes, I bought myself a new toy. A little point and shoot Canon EOS. Something smaller for the travel bag, and my forthcoming trip to the UK. It comes with loads of features, including fish eye. I like a lot. Cool!
This is one of those “thanks Singapore” for the free stuff moments. It’s good! No, it’s great.
We then get a visitor to the park. Yes, folks, it’s a jungle out there.
Jurassic Park miniatures… Coming to a cinema near you soon.
And then we pot his big brother having a swim. I thought this was an otter when I first saw the size of it, but no, it is a monitor lizard. Can’t see the keyboard lizard with it though.

Such a poser. Luckily there weren’t about 1,000 people walking, scooting and running passed us. Ha Ha!!!

A lovely walk along the river and we arrive at one of our favourites, Kontiki. We were recognised as we were walking in by the staff welcoming us back. It’s been a while. Wow, the kids have grown. So lovely to see you all again. Yep, they’re Filipino. Best service on the PLANET!!!

It is rather cool inside, but we always sit outside. Why was this not here when we lived at Costa Rhu, so angry about that. Love this place.
Up with some food snaps now. A little cup of chilli con Carne and cheese. Oh yeah, baby! I do like to over-season mine though. Salty is good. And this was, indeed, good. Yummo!
Heart attack on a plate. But a good heart attack. Roasted bone marrow with gravy. Bring on the coronary, it was worth it.
Wifey goes hard on the BBQ prawns with a wee squeeze of lemon. Very fresh she said and very delicious.
Jude and I go for a rather delicious medium-rare steak with the house gravy. Ding Dong. I love sharing with my munchkin. We are father and son foodies.

Ollie gets his pleasure with the house burger which is about the size of a small child. It needed a little more seasoning he said, but rather delicious anyways. Looks damned fine.
