A lovely family Sunday @ Science Centre
Feb 4th is a weird day for us all as a family. It’s the birthday, and also the passing day of our Nina. 9 years ago now. We all think more of her this day, and have a family meal religiously – more of that to follow on another blog. But for the day, I asked the kids what they’d like to do, and we ended up having A lovely family Sunday @ Science Centre.
Let’s get them photos a going! What a cracking day it was. 1st time for Jude, and probably 5+ years since for Amy. It was all brand new for us this day. Loads of new things to boot, as well as some favourites. It truly was A lovely family Sunday @ Science Centre, and here it comes. Read on friends and family, it’s a must do if you have kids.

And we’re off. An amazing sculpture that you cannot work out what it is, until you look at in reflected in a mirror column, so clever!

Jude gets straight in to it. Looks simple this one, but when you watch the TV screen above it shows the balls rolling up-hill, HUH???

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Mirror maze was a classic. Although Jude did get a little scared as very enclosed space. I thought it was classic, and adventure Dad found the way out too!

Does this mirror make my bum look big?

“Don’t make me angry, you won’t like me when I’m angry!” Said Baby Jude

Weird mirror thing that makes your reflection go bonkers – this is actually me taking a picture of Jude walking away – spooky, a tad The Ring!

Omni-Theatre now to watch Aurora. How amazing was this show. Seriously you feel like you are there in space, in Canada, in Finland. An absolutely beautiful experience. Must do if you come, yep it is additional $, but worth every cent.

WOW – how beautiful is this. You feel like you can reach and touch it.

It just goes on…

Off to Finland now. Must go here one day, how can you not want to witness this?!?!?!

Not my No1 son, but a huge Sun anyways! Stunning!

Aurora Borealis – did you no it is named after the Roman Goddess of Dawn, by Galileo?

Oh no, look what I found in my lunch!

It’s catching.

A stunning wire sculpture. From the front an elephant, but if you to the side, the same sculpture becomes giraffes – amazing!

Looks beautiful right. It is all made from butterfly wings. How stunning is that.

Jesus, this thing has clearly eaten a shit load of cabbages!

Atlas Moth. Biggest in the world. Named so because the colouration on it’s wings resembles an atlas. Go figure!

Wow!

Wearing a shirt that looks likes trees and flowers clearly has it’s advantages – can’t get much more Up Close than this!

It’s good to be a tree.

So this little red butterfly flies on me, but Jude is desperate to have one on him so I carefully transferred it to my finger and placed it on Jude’s arm.

And this little butterfly became Jude’s best mate for the rest of our time in there. It would not leave him, it would not fly away. Even if Jude walked about, this little fella stuck with his new mate.

See what I mean. Jude even said that he loved his new friend.

BFF’s

“I love you!” said Baby Jude

The Up And Close to Butterflies is also additional cost, but 100% worth it if you are in to that sort of thing. We went round this about three times, very addictive and stunning to boot!

New Hitchcock film; ‘The Butterflies.’

Stunning sights in here

Wow!

“I am just so so busy Dad!”

This is very cool too – FIRE TORNADO. Wow!

Scary!

Gives you a taste of the power of fire.

In to the Science of Circus now, and Jude has a go at balancing on a tight rope – good work matey!

But my Mary was the winner, something like 18 seconds balanced on this! Wow Babes.

Talking of tight ropes, up comes Amy (literally). I think because of her ballet she made this look easy, almost graceful!

And she is in motion, go Amy!

Love the shoes gorgeous!

Last few now. I think out of the box for my work, but kids these days just want to get in it!

First time she didn’t speak all day. I am thinking about bringing the box home!
What an absolutely cracking day out this was. We will absolutely be back for more. The kids had a ball. Something everything parent in Singapore should do one weekend. It is worth every cent. We had A lovely family Sunday @ Science Centre, and I am 100% confident you will too if you go. If you do go, I am certain you will – ENJOY!!!
