OMG – what happened.
I can’t even now have fun saying just switch the number on the candles round, as that would now be 54.
It was my birthday.
A birthday started at a rather early time – almost dawn chorus, with Amy and Ollie singing to the top of their lungs “Happy Birthday” for me. Thanks so much munchkins, you really did catch me half asleep there – check those bags under my eyes – dear me!
So Amy/Ollie/Mary what did they get Daddy for his birthday???
Anyways in reverse order look what I got.
Tow GoldClass (yes that’s GOLDCLASS) tickets to watch World War Z on my birthday (have you seen it yet – WOW what a film, edge of seat action all the way through – WOW!)
Before that though a family dinner at Le Barca restaurant. My all time GLOBAL favourite restaurant (and I have eaten in a few believe me) for steak. See more on that later. This place is incredible. What a present – woo hoo!
Add to that some little chef nick backs – very cute,
Add to that an absolutely banging chocolate and coffee cake,
Add to that a cool card with a picture of some beverage I am certainly not familiar with at all!
And add to that a body massage from Ollie, Amy and Mary – yep I was a happy boy.
Then I realised I had to go to work – oh bollox!
But at 1800 all was well.
I had packed up, I had driven straight to the restaurant and hey presto here we all are.
Le Barca ladies and gentlemen.
Clearly we’re taking turns with the camera. Ollie has a turn.
Mary has a turn.
I have a turn – Prince & Princess Kennett of The Rhu!
My turn again.
Slightly artsy (thanks again to tips from my mate Ged) – ding dong Mary!
I can hear it, I can hear it – FACEBOOK, FACEBOOK, FACEBOOK!
I promise I have only had one beer.
Man do I look laid back.
Happy birthday me! Happy days!
Whoops here comes Ollie again.
Glenda joins in now as well.
A lovely one of my two girls…
My two Princesses…
Hold on a minute – that’s not a Princess.
He’s far too handsome for that!
That’s right he’s a Queen!!! (He He)
Even the servers for in the act – nice family group shot.
I think we were about 5 minutes away from the main event – the steak!
This is a Tuscan style restaurant, and the chef has moved here a few years back from having cooked there for 35 years in that region. He is amazing!
In fact here he is.
Once the steak is cooked he comes out and carves it from the bone.
This thing is the size of a small car believe me.
I love it as it comes crusted on the outside, medium of medium rares in the middle (as you’ll see) and then along comes a hot stone if you wish to cook it more yourself.
Come on look at this chap.
This is a T-Bone a T-Rex would not complain about.
Cooked to perfection and sliced in to these morsels of meaty goodness.
Vegies – don’t look at the next picture, turn away and stare at a carrot or something!
This is like porn to me.
This is some seriously sexy food.
It is truly THE best I have ever had – It doesn’t compare to anything else I have had in steak division.
This is the Premiership Leader for years past and years to come.
I would have been so very happy if they just stuck my birthday candles in this pile of glistening meatiness. What a fantastic present to be brought by my family!
Thanks to my Mary, Ollie and Amy – what a fabulous birthday.
I almost forgot how old I was there for a minute…
…
…
…
Shit, NOT!
I didn’t forget – I’m bloody 45 – damn!
Ha Ha!
What a birthday!
Yummy!
(PS; Do you think Amy wanted this piece of meat I am just about to devour – check that face!)
