Changi BoardWalk & SeaGrill @ Changi
Another fantastic fun family day today. We’re trying to find fun and new things to do each day we’re together and maybe with a new food twist thrown in too as an added bonus. And today is a great example of that. We went to lunch at a new place and walked from there along the beach to an old favourite for a refreshing libation before back home to Siglap for dinner. I’ll blog the restaurant separately on islifearecipe.net but here are a few snaps of the place excluding the food as it really was just an ACE experience (despite the service) and is worth a call out here. This is definitely a ‘repeat our experience’ if you have families, as it was a super nice walk and just fun fun fun. Have a look. Some little VLOG too to give some live footage…

1st up was lunchtime – oh yes… A new find and recommendation. The Coastal Settlement. But a little disappointing regards to the service as you will see from the blog on islifearecipe.net

The wild was even brought to us in the restaurant over lunch with the couple on the table next to us taking their parrots for a ‘walk’ – yes look closely these are on leads.
Superb interior in this place. Like a Colbar on steroids. Retro nik-naks everywhere, love it as a theme. Truly so very cool.
Not a bad little space for lunch. ‘Parisian Avenue in the middle of a jungle’ style theme, even the street lights look Parisian.
Changi Boardwalk
The Changi Boardwalk is just brilliant. A must-do, albeit it is a little ‘broken’ in areas. Still, the adventurous side of took that in our step, literally. I think I might bring down fishing rods next time with the kids. A lazy fishing afternoon perhaps…?

The Beast of Changi Boardwalk
Watch that video for footage of the walk along the Changi Boardwalk. It is brilliant by the way. Amazing views, beautifully breezy and quite clean sandy beaches to walk along and splash in the sea. The kids and I loved it. And then just before we get to Changi Village Ferry Terminal the girls spotted this…
This was a monster Monitor Lizard. Like a MONSTER. Biggest I have ever seen in all my years living in Asia. Including the tail, this thing was my height + and it was as round as Jude Jude. HUGE bloody thing. WOW!!!

Then we get to go to our BFF’s and one of our very favourite Seaview restaurants & bistros. Amazing small worlds is that the Chef is now the same Chef that used to have Tortuga Spanish Restaurant in Katong. Sadly that closed due to Covid-19 and he is now working from here. Double bonus. And the triple bonus with some specials on a Xmas menu including Beef Wellington & Duck Confit. Probably the best Duck Confit we have ever had.
It was such a beautiful day today. We ended up grabbing a beer/cold drink with our BFF’s at Sea Grill @ Changi Beach. Love that place. What we did today comes as a massive recommendation to you to copy. Read the islifearecipe.net blog though about the restaurant to get my view of that though before you rush there. Today was Changi BoardWalk & SeaGrill @ Changi, another first for us in our 13 years here was The Coastal Settlement and it was an absolute cracker. Highly recommended. Wifey gave me her insight of the day; “Nice view”. That’s surely gonna make you come running to copy us right – ENJOY!!!
