Day 1
Amy the lion tamer in DK’s back garden.
Whipping poor little Twiglet.
Ollie turns up to watch – whip her harder Amy.
DK from RSPCA turns up and sorts them out.
Looks like a game of ‘what’s the time Mr Wolf’.
Snack time – and indeed it was as Claire had laid on a veritable feast for us!
Off to Mum’s for sleep No.1 in UK.
How lovely is this photo – you look gorgeous Mum!!!
Even the old bloke tries a turn.
Day 2
Off to Sturry for lunch.
I had set DK a task to find me an old pub for a nice lunch in the country.
He did well – this is The Yew Tree built in 1148 – the oldest pub in Kent.
Nicely done DK.
Look at this place.
Who do you think has walked through that door in its 865 years.
Incredible isn’t it – that’s way older than Singapore itself.
And across the street is the neighbours house.
Goodness me.
Thanks Ollie for taking the picture of family fun.
About to begin our food quest!
Just what I wanted – lanterns, pewter tankards, dried hops…
And huge open fireplace, with all those knick Knacks like bellows, bed warmers etc.
Just what I needed after having not seen the UK for 2.5 years!
Food also – just what I wanted.
Local bangers and mash for me.
Roasted camembert for DK.
Look at this place. Crooked beamed ceilings and walls. Huge dining tables.
It was just brilliant.
Dinner all washed down with a few pints of scrumpy cider – DAMN it was good.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s?
Nah…
Breakfast at Nanny’s!!!
Egg, Bacon and Black Pudding – woo hoo!
A quick pop to Great Nanny’s to say Hi.
Straight away in Universal Studios style the kids are on the stairlift.
I think back to the King & Queen session at Dover Castle – sat on their thrones again!!!
Just beautiful.
Great Nanny’s garden, with lovely lovely photos of Mum, Mary and kidlets.
I love these.
