Family fun @ HydroDash on Sentosa
Have you heard of this? It is actually quite brilliant. Singapore’s 1st floating ‘playground’. It’s bloody funny and for all ages. But prepare yourself to get absolutely shattered, sunburnt, scratched and likely embarrassed. Hold on that’s describing my experience today. But this place surely did deliver such fun for all for absolutely quality value on the $$$ frontage for something on Sentosa.
Family fun @ HydroDash on Sentosa
#1, Strawberry Blonde, Jude Jude and I donned the mandatory lifejackets and went a bouncing for two full-hours for the total sum of $110. Now that is bloody good, is it not? Not many places in Singapore these days you’ll get such family fun for so little. You have to book, yep it is Covid-19 enforced of course despite all the lovely sea-water being a natural detergent. So only so many at any given time are allowed.
Some top tips;
- Bring a cushion and an umbrella if you are not participating – no seating and very limited shade;
- Cover yourself in suntan lotion & wear the sunscreen swimsuit things;
- Wear a hat if you can as that sun can surely get relentless;
- Dad’s with kids do some sit-ups before you go as getting out of the kid’s area is a bitch;
- Dad’s with kids prepare to look like a complete dick AKA Elephant Seal as you try to get out of the kid’s pool area;
- Bring refreshments and keep on hydrating;
- Bring a camera as it really is quite funny – but that you’ll have to film from the jetty.

Here is their little wordage on their website, and I totally agree with what they say;
“GET READY TO CLIMB, SLIDE, LEAP AND BOUNCE YOUR WAY THROUGH HYDRODASH, SINGAPORE’S VERY FIRST FLOATING AQUA PARK.
Challenge friends, family and loved ones around our thrill-seeking floating obstacle course and let the games begin!
Designed for fun for everyone – our inflatable playground is a family-friendly attraction offering activities,
excitement and delight for all ages.”
Where it says family-friendly though, just remember; I looked like a dick being pulled from the kiddy area by a lifeguard as could not get out using the 6-year-old steps, which have no hand-holds either (design fault), not allowed to remove the life-jacket to swim under the bouncy stuff and get to the proper steps and the list goes on. Grounded whale springs to mind… Wifey thought I had collapsed and needed to be pulled out and resuscitated haha. Dear me!!!
So there we have it, folks – it really was a fun day actually. Not an iPad in sight. Shattered kids with all that fun, exercise and sea-air. Family fun @ HydroDash on Sentosa was class, and I’ll say it again, AMAZING bargain for money for them to have such fun for 2 solid hours for just over $100. Amazing value on Red-Dot. We’ll be going back in a couple of months when Jude Jude is +7 and then has all-areas-access, which also means no Daddy getting stuck in the kiddy pool area. More on that in 2-months – ENJOY!!!
