Lovely East Coast Lagoon Lazy Days
OK OK a little bit of Orchard Road 1st on the Saturday, but then off we jolly well go, to have some Lovely East Coast Lagoon Lazy Days. We love our lazy weekends. Busy week of work, the usual early starts and late finishes for yours truly, so weekends is family time. It’s all in photos, so let’s jog on shall we.

So Jude spots this ‘sculpture’ of a nutmeg and wants to have a photo of him sitting on it. Personally I think it looks a cycling helmet. Jude you didn’t choose the tallest person in the family to help you up there either did you – no wonder you look scared, ha ha ha!!!

“And next Dad I want you to take a picture of me next to the pink flowers!” hmmmmmmmmmm

“Dad, I think this is the tallest sculpture of a lady ever in the wooooooooooorrrrrrrrrllllllllddddddddd!!!”

Bored waiting in the Forever21 shopping queue, waiting for Amy to pay for the entire shop you just bought. Jude improvises with some hair scrunchies and a necklace. Yes mate I also feel handcuffed right about now.Come on Amy…

Slight segway, but it came to me from my Bruv during the weekend, soooo. Rick Astley in his budgie smugglers, aboard the Canberra on a Mediterranean cruise, 36 years ago. WTF!!!

Guest Chef’s today for the BBQ chicken wings. I have to say they were the best ever. Great work kidlets.

“Look what I made Dad, yummo. Can we go an eat now PLEASE!!! Dad, put your camera down, I want to EAT!!!”

We are East Coast Lagoon Hawker for Sunday lunch. This is the BBQ chicken wing place. Search him out. Some of best wings on the planet, without a doubt!!!

Next up Jude and I join the queue to another ‘best-on-planet’ in my reckoning. Our mate that is running the slow braised pork stall. Nothing Halal here folks, sorry. But OMG this is the best, and today he has a new dish, oh yes. I have blogged this chap before as it is seriously so good – this is the one where Amy tales a straw and sucks the bone marrow out, remember?

New thing for Jude it seems. No more two finger V-sign for photos, tongue has to be out now in all photos. Maybe just for food related ones???

Check this spread. For only an amazing $25. It’s off-the-charts good food for amazing value. Two large slow braised pork knuckles, steamed rice, braised greens and the new one – slow braised pork ribs. Holy COW. So so so so good, and for $25 only. Amaze-balls.

Happy family days scoffing down incredible food. Yeap like it a lot. Lovely walk down too, via Singapore Flyer because Ollie was in charge of directions today.

Sat next to our mates at 245. She is a love. The Aunty in pink. Something like 11 years now we have been sitting in this seat, quite incredible. Kids have grown, and been born, and we still keep coming back – that shows you something!!!

And up next it is the Singapore Striped Ball Kick & Throw Championships. Here is England v The Philippines.

England victorious, so off goes the winner on his Victory lap. What a handsome chap!!!

Next up is a charity event for the Victor of Singapore Striped Ball Kick and Catch Championships to have a game against the retired 50+ ex Champion. I have to say he may be 50+ but wow does he clearly work out still!!!
And that was that. A lovely slow walk back home. This was the day that Daddy then did the ‘surprise’ BBQ dinner for the gang. But the day today was ACE, we really do love our Lovely East Coast Lagoon Lazy Days. We’ll be back again soon, that is for certain. It’s a stunner of a place. Can’t wait for one day when PSA sort the new terminal out and all the moored ships disappear. Imagine that. Uninterrupted views of Indonesia and no shit in the sea. Awesome. See you there one day perhaps, because every time we go, we simply – ENJOY!!!
