Wow is all I can say – the wee man strikes again. This was a covert run mission by all the school kids and teachers alike, so much so that all we knew was the title and that it was a rough adaption of all Wizard of Oz films in to one,. Ollie would be secretly practicing his moves and singing in the toilet (see previous blog), and teachers kept all under wraps, apart from you MUST be there and as Mary, Amy and I arrived we were greeted with “you must sit at the front”, “you’ll be so proud”, “Ollie is amazing” etc.
So to the front we went. Basically he had had two sessions already, one in the morning for the little kids at school, then a matinee on the Thursday then I went to see him on the Friday.
It was just such a BRILLIANT concert – classics like somewhere over the rainbow, but then some Elton John, Abba as well, amazing choreography bearing in mind the kids are tops 11 years old. How they remembered lines and moves is beyond me.
Ollie’s of course to me was the best bit – just amazing – so I really hope you enjoy this short clip – we certainly do!
