What a fantastic Hari Rya Day today
A lovely day off today for celebration of Hari Rya.
So first things first, wishing all my Muslim mates around the world; “Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri.”
Ollie went off to school rehearsals, Mary, Amy, Jude and I had a nice lay in – then off to lunch at Marine Cove, which was so so so busy we never actually got to the park. Restaurants were jammed too, so we ended up walking up East Coast to Parkland Green – having a nice meal at Bakery & Bar St.Marc, see REVIEW on Islifearecipe, then walking under the under pass to Parkway Parade, a quick stop to get some new fish for the tank, some new weed and even a little Terrapin – so flipping cute – we have named it Michelle, get it Me Shell…??? Dear me. Then off Amy and I went to the shops, and bought some food for a 5 course BBQ at the pits back at the condo, with a now returned Ollie too.
A lovely family day – just tops in fact!!! And now here is pictorial evidence of that!!!
A short 15 minute walk from Marine Cove to Parkland Green – beautiful and breezy along the coast – the gang looking good
So Jude was being silly over lunch, pulling his faces – he does a great ‘angry’, but I am not sure what this face is supposed to be… Still good though baby-Jude
LOVE this one of the kids playing airplanes – just love it, and yep B&W just made this shot doubly so!!!
And now ‘flying’ towards us, man this needs some serious air traffic control…
Not every day you can talk about beautiful birds on a blog and get away with it – this pigeon was sat in the tree at the pool and man oh man did it have vibrant colours – a stunner!!!
Food all gone now and kids in the pool, and getting dark. Last 5 minutes call out was given as Jude and Ollie were playing taxis…
And of course not wishing to be the odd one out, Amy jumps in and creates ‘kid sandwich’ – great photo!!!
So, truly What a fantastic Hari Rya Day today. We had a blast. A lovely family day, outside, enjoying Singapore’s finest, beaches, weather, food and frolics – what a day!!! Very refreshed, very relaxed and ready to go back to work now. Thanks family!!!
